CHICKEN ORDERS FOR AGRICULTURE DAY
If you are interested in raising a Chicken for Ag Day, they can be purchased from the Agriculture Committee at a cost $11.00 each. It is recommended that at least 3 chickens per child/family are purchased as they are only a day old when we receive them from the hatchery and will not survive on their own. Information about raising chickens is provided on the Agriculture Day page on the Clevedon School website. Please read this before collecting your chickens as preparation for food and housing, including a heat source will need to be made.
We ask that you complete an order on Kindo for each child that you wish to order chickens for. This will also assist us with pre-registration for the chicken entries for Ag Day. Please note orders for chickens close on Thursday 30 May 2024.
Once we have received your order, you will be sent an email confirming receipt of your child’s order. If you don’t have an e-mail address, we will send you a text, so please ensure you fill out all the details on the order form.
Collection of the chickens will be in the second last week of term 2 on Tuesday 25 June. This date will be confirmed on the school website closer to the time.
Please Note – We cannot accept late orders as the hatchery has a final cut off date to ensure the order can be filled.
